Prepare images for the place they need to go

Image Compression is for reducing file size before a website, form, store, or chat upload. Image Format Conversion is for changing the file type when a service requires JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, or another supported format. They are separate tasks, so choose based on the result you need.

For visual changes, use the image editor to crop, rotate, flip, or adjust color; add a text or logo watermark when you need a marked copy. Background removal works best with simple or near-solid colors. It is a browser color-removal tool, not an AI portrait or hair-selection service.

Organized around real tasks

Choose by the result you need

Smaller upload

Compress photos or screenshots, compare the size change, and download one file or a batch.

Different file type

Convert images for a site or app that accepts a specific format; choose PNG or WebP when transparency matters.

A visual adjustment

Crop, rotate, flip, or tune color before exporting a new image.

A marked or transparent copy

Apply a text or logo watermark, or remove a simple solid-color background.

A short image workflow

  1. Pick the task

Open compression for a smaller file, conversion for another format, or editing for visual changes.

  2. Check the file details

Review the formats, maximum file size, and batch limit shown above the upload area.

  3. Compare and save

Review the output before downloading. Keep the original if transparency, color, or fine detail is important.

Image tool questions

Do I need an image editor to make a file smaller?

No. Start with Image Compression when file size is the main goal. Use Image Editing when you need to crop, rotate, or adjust the picture.

Which image formats keep a transparent background?

PNG and WebP support transparency. JPG does not, so converting a transparent image to JPG fills the transparent areas with a background color.

Can background removal select hair or complex edges?

The current browser tool is intended for simple or near-solid backgrounds. It does not provide AI subject segmentation for detailed hair, shadows, or busy scenes.

Can I process several images together?

Compression, conversion, and watermark pages support batches within their page-specific file and size limits. The editor works on one image at a time.
