Using Apex
These terms explain the basic rules for using Apex. By continuing to use the site, you acknowledge these rules and the practical limits of online media processing.
What the tools do
Apex provides browser-first tools for common image, video, and audio tasks such as compression, conversion, trimming, extraction, watermarking, and light editing.
Most current tools are designed for small-to-medium files that can be handled comfortably by a modern browser. Features and limits may change as the service improves.
Your files and responsibilities
- Only process files that you own or are allowed to use.
- Do not use the service for unlawful, abusive, infringing, or intentionally disruptive activity.
- Keep your own copy of important files. Apex is a processing tool, not permanent storage.
Availability and results
We try to keep the tools useful and available, but browser support, device performance, codec support, and source file quality can affect whether a task succeeds.
Output quality depends on the original file and the settings you choose. Very large files, unusual codecs, damaged files, or extreme settings may be slow or may fail.
Third-party services and limits
Apex may use third-party infrastructure, analytics, or advertising services. Those providers may have their own policies.
Within the limits allowed by law, Apex is not responsible for indirect losses, failed uploads, failed conversions, or issues caused by browser/device limitations.
